This page explains how Faultlean collects and uses email addresses, and the lawful basis for each type of communication.

How Faultlean works

Faultlean is an invitation-only issue management platform. The Faultlean Administrator personally invites every organization. There is no self-service signup for organizations. All participants are added through direct invitations from people they already have a relationship with.

What emails Faultlean sends

Faultlean sends only invitations and system notifications. All emails are transactional, meaning they are triggered by specific actions within the platform. Faultlean does not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content. Email content is system-generated and cannot be customized by users.

Lawful basis by role

Faultlean Administrator — The Administrator invites organizations based on a direct business relationship. The Administrator only contacts people they know personally.

Organization members — Organization members are invited by the Administrator. Members can invite reporters they have a relationship with. Members receive system notifications about reports in their organization.

Reporters — Reporters are invited by an organization member. Reporters receive notifications about their own reports. Reporters cannot send emails or invite anyone.

What information we collect

Faultlean collects your name, email address, and report content. All information is collected and used within the context of issue management.

No data sharing

Email addresses are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
